I have Kaspersky 7.0 Anti-Virus with maximum Spyware protection. Does anyone with this program have problems with data base issues like no update or corrupted updates?

I had Kaspersky last year. My impression was that the longer I had it, the stronger it got. It started messing with things that I wanted, or blocking me out. I uninstalled it.
